Tattered dress

2 Oct

I have lots of pieces of fabric that I saved in my closet for quilting, however some of them were oddly shaped or just not the right type of material. so I gathered up all my scraps and started sorting out colors that matched well… or maybe I just ended up choosing my favorite colors. I started my making a bodice out the muslin (the material I use for the backings of quilts) then had a lot of fun using the different embroidery settings on my sewing machine to add various designs including my name. I took the shreds of fabric and sewed them onto the bodice, layering them and adding ruffles and flowers (a lot of hand sewing too) It looks very organic, and its pretty comfortable too..

I am now selling this dress on my Etsy!

Bust- 30-33
Waist- 23-25
